THE MIXING BOARD
Works from an internship I had last summer at the NPR station KUOW in Seattle, Washington.

Me telling an embarrassing story from my distant childhood for my third and final podcast about embarrassment.
I think this also aired live on Weekday at some point, which scares me a little.

Amazing editing credit goes to Nathan Friend.
Excerpts from two interviews I did towards the end of the summer with David Boardman of the Seattle Times and H.L. Hall of the JEA, focusing on the future of journalism and how newspapers have been affected by the economy.
Piece for my first podcast, about fear. Talked to the owner of the Gargoyle Statuary on the ave in Seattle.
Interview prepared and conducted by my cointern and I.
This I didn't record but I edited. It was for another group's podcast about ice cream, which was very fitting because it was like a hundred degrees that week. In Seattle.
Also aired on Weekday.
This was my first-ever radio piece out in the public. I got into the back room of Theno's Dairy in Redmond (amazing ice cream place) and got one of the workers to give me a tour. I also did all the editing.
This too aired on Weekday.
My fellow intern Molly and I interviewed a psychologist that works at the UW as another part of our embarrasment podcast.. We talked to him about why people get embarrassed and got into several interesting related subjects.
This was the first double-phone interview we tried as a group of interns and a few more were done afterwards because of how well it worked.
Talking about the internship with Steve Scher and a few of the other interns live on Weekday, 8/20/09

Also made that logo at the top, no big deal.
