Cartoon Network dies, age 16

My family and I went to see Pixar's "Up" recently, which if you haven't seen yet let me tell you is an incredible movie. I think everyone should see it. Phenomenal. I was in such a weird mood afterwards. However, having arrived a little early I got the pleasure of sitting through the pre-movie commercials, including five full minutes of a talking, dancing film reel bitching at you to switch your cell phone to "silent," and previews for Shia LaBeef's next big BOX-OFFICE HIT. Laced within all this, however, was a heart-wrenching promotion for the new "Cartoon Network Real." For ten solid minutes I had to sit through a deformed little black kid, probably 10 or 11, named Bobb'e (not Bobby mind you; he's hip and street), telling me about the ground-breaking new changes CARTOON NETWORK REAL is implementing to compensate for the lack of people willing to work any harder than to do something irrational and/or push "record" on a camcorder. Yes, these new shows will mostly be "live action" as I'm sure you've heard. It saddens me. Newgrounds may soon be the main headquarters of any quality animation whatsoever. And from what they showed in the previews in the theater, which I can promise you is the best of their best right now (their money beets), it looked like nothing you can't find on Youtube. It's all half-assed, dogshit home videos, and they didn't look captivating in the slightest. I just sat there staring at the screen in foreseen disappointment. I hate the media. I hate the big companies nowadays, nobody cares about values anymore. If it makes money, it goes. The only value people know anymore is monetary value. People are getting lazier and are easier to entertain, to the point where TV stations that used to be coveted for their material, such as CN, are now hitting the lowest possible threshold they can, and I guess they're profiting from it like crazy because little work + lots of reward = lots of profit. It sucks. I've always thought about how awesome it would be if there was a Newgrounds television station, run by the youth. That would rock. Fuck this "Bobb'e says" bullshit. LOOK AT HIM. They're dressing him up and treating him like he's Brad Pitt. That kid is going to grow up to be the most spoiled little piece of shit the world has ever seen. CNR is going to fail and I will be there when it does.
